The Benefits of Joining LEANZ
The Law and Economics Association’s effectiveness is maintained through the support of its membership base. In addition to supporting the development of LEANZ, there are several benefits to membership in LEANZ:
- While individual LEANZ seminars are generally open to the public, membership is required to regularly attend the LEANZ seminar series.
- Members have a significant discount for participation in the LEANZ Instructional Seminar Series, which improves understanding of the foundations of law and economics.
- Members have access and/or reduced rates to joint seminars with other organizations, LEANZ sponsored activities and LEANZ seminars where entry fees apply.
- Members gain access to presentations and academic material behind LEANZ seminars.
- Members have access to our online Members only area, which is a place where controversial topics in law and economics are discussed. By viewing the opinions of others or by actively participating in debate LEANZ members can stay in touch with the pulse of the New Zealand law and economics community. In addition the Members only area also provides a library resource of recent articles and related links.
- Perhaps most importantly, membership and participation in LEANZ helps develop relationships within the New Zealand law and economics community, creating better outcomes in law, economics and policy.
The annual subscription fee for LEANZ is $50.00 for individuals. The subscription fee can be paid by either cheque or internet banking.
An application form can be found here.
Alternatively, LEANZ has just introduced a corporate membership. This costs $500 for one organisation per annum and covers up to 20 individuals. Please contact Stacey if you are interested in taking up this option.
